Plot Outline of Lilith Screenplay<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The Arthur has constructed a dramatic screenplay recounting tale of the early events in the garden of Eden, based on a list of probable events put forth by the arguments for Lilith’s legend in The Case for Lilith<\/strong>.\u00a0 \u00a0A summary of the screenplay is provided below.\u00a0 A complete listing of the screenplay in standard industry format, is available here in PDF format<\/a><\/span>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Sistine Chapel<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Script begins in the Sistine Chapel with priest leading a group of children on a tour. \u00a0The Priest explains Michelangelo\u2019s paintings to a tour group of children. \u00a0He reveals that the half-woman \/ half-serpent whom Michelangelo depicts tempting Eve is Lilith. \u00a0After a lot of troubled questions from a little girl, Priest says to understand Lilith and how she came to be, you have to go all the back to the start of the story. \u00a0(There is a bookend to this scene at the end of the script.)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

Creation Event<\/strong><\/h3>\n
Script goes back in time to 14 billion years ago to witness the creation Big Bang event. \u00a0The formation of time, energy, matter, stars, and galaxies, quasars, supernovas, and black holes are all covered, finishing with the creation of earth. \u00a0This script portion covering 10 billion years of history is nominally considered a 5 minute continuous piece of special effects.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/td>\n

\u00a0\"\"<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u00a0\"\"<\/td>\nThrone Room of God<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the completion of the earth 4 billion years ago, the scene shifts to \u00a0God\u2019s throne room. \u00a0There Lucifer leads God\u2019s angels in worship of God over his glorious creation. \u00a0The scene of God\u2019s worship is visualized like a majestic spiral galaxy rotating in space. \u00a0Radiant God and his majestic throne are at the center. \u00a0Star-like points of lights whom are the enumerable angels dance an orbit around God \u2013 singing and glorifying his name. \u00a0God reveals his plan for the next step in creation \u2013 man. \u00a0Lucifer rebels because of the angels proposed inferior position to man. Lucifer recruits 1\/3 of angels for his rebellion. \u00a0In the ensuing battle Lucifer and his host are cast out of heaven into creation.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\u00a0\"\"<\/td>\n\n

Earth\u2019s Destruction<\/span><\/h3>\n

Lucifer and his angels \u00a0descend into creation (the universe) and crash a planet named Theia into the newly formed Earth. \u00a0The spirit of God descends into the chaos, and reforms the Earth with its new moon from the mess. \u00a0God creates the first life on earth. \u00a0The evolution of life over 4 billion years is then portrayed as told in the six days of creation in Genesis.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n

Creation of Adam and Lilith<\/span><\/h3>\n

At the culmination of creation God creates Adam and a female companion from the soil. \u00a0However, Satan erupts in a mist from the ground and preemptively animates the woman. \u00a0She becomes Lilith. \u00a0She is animated in the image of her father Lucifer, while Adam, who God had shielded from Satan\u2019s defilement, is animated by the breath of God and made in God\u2019s image. \u00a0Because Lilith is unfit for Adam, God states that he will condemn her to the abyss. \u00a0Adam intervenes on her behalf, saying she had done no sin. \u00a0God agrees to forgo punishment. \u00a0He blesses both Lilith and Adam, and tells them to fill the earth. \u00a0However, God declares that only through Adam\u2019s heritage would Lilith inherit in their blessings. \u00a0She is defiant to this notion.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\u00a0\"\"<\/td>\n\n

Lilith Tempts Adam<\/span><\/h3>\n

After some time, Lilith tempts Adam into rebelling against God. \u00a0She explains it was foolish for Adam to be a slave to God. \u00a0She summons a mist from the ground, like the one which animated her, which waters a tree of the garden. \u00a0This tree is transformed into the tree of knowledge of good and evil. \u00a0Lilith tries to get Adam to eat, but he refuses. \u00a0As God approaches, Lilith flees the garden. God tells Adam that he would make for him a new helpmeet to replace Lilith, for she was more beast than human and unfit for him. \u00a0However, Adam wants to give her another chance, saying she had done no sin. \u00a0God agrees to Adam\u2019s wishes, but warns Adam if he ever ate of the tree of knowledge of Good and evil, he would die. \u00a0God then orders Adam to judge \u00a0all the soulish animals He would bring before him, and to name them after their likeness. \u00a0He would bring Lilith too, and Adam was to name and judge her. \u00a0God then creates the tree of life by watering a tree of the garden\u00a0with the living waters of God, thereby transforming it. \u00a0He commands Adam to give Lilith of the tree of Life when he meets her again. \u00a0God then summons all the beast of the field and Lilith to Adam, so that he might name and judge them.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\u00a0\"\"<\/td>\n\n

Lilith Eats of the Tree of Life and Rejects Adam<\/span><\/h3>\n

Lilith tarries in answering God\u2019s summons. \u00a0Three angels are dispatch to bring her to Adam. \u00a0Wishing to put an end to things, she agrees and return. \u00a0She returns to Adam at twilight. \u00a0He declares to her she had tarried, and arrived in the liyal (darkness), plus he had always perceived a certain darkness about her. \u00a0Therefore he names her Lilith (before her name was Adamah). \u00a0Lilith happily eats of the tree of Life that Adam offers her, for she wishes to obtain immortality. \u00a0After eating she rejects Adam, refusing to submit to him.\u00a0\u00a0With eternal life, she proclaims she no longer has need of God or Adam. \u00a0Adam begins to use his supernatural power to force Lilith to kneel and submit to him. \u00a0She struggles against his power. \u00a0As God approaches, she utterly rebels. \u00a0She shouts the ineffable name of God, evoking its power. \u00a0A strange transformation overtakes her because of the holy living waters she has consumed. \u00a0She exclaims in pain over her belly. \u00a0She sprouts wings like her father Lucifer and flees the garden. \u00a0Adam is finally ready for his replacement mate.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\u00a0<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u00a0<\/td>\n\n

Creation of Eve<\/span><\/h3>\n

God decides to make for Adam a replacement helpmate using Adam himself as the source material. \u00a0Adam is put into a deep sleep, and Eve is created from a portion of his side. \u00a0Adam awakes to find a helpmeet in his own image and exclaims, \u201cAt long last. \u00a0\u00a0This is the one.\u201d \u00a0Adam and \u00a0Eve begin their life together in the garden. \u00a0They entertain themselves by watching a \u201csoccer\u201d game between lions. \u00a0\u00a0They build a beautiful house via ingenious methods. \u00a0The angels marvel at man\u2019s art and creativity.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\u00a0\"\"<\/td>\n\n

Lilith Tempts Eve<\/span><\/h3>\n

Scene works well. \u00a0Script leverages literal reading of bible with the idea that Eve saw that the tree was 1) good for food, 2) made one beautiful (correction to KJV translation \u201cwas beautiful\u201d), and 3) made one wise. \u00a0Thus, first Lilith eats the forbidden fruit in view of Eve, demonstrating it is not poisonous and good for food. \u00a0Second, Lilith uses the glamour of Lucifer to appear as a beautiful creature of Light, promising Eve she would become the same if she ate. \u00a0Thirdly, Lilith demonstrates god-like powers by faking the resurrection of a dead bird. \u00a0In reality this bird is just temporarily animated by an indwelling demonic spirit.\u00a0Finally, Lilith argues to Eve the notion that the knowledge of good and evil is good, because it would allow Eve to discern evil and correct it as Lilith did when she resurrected the bird. \u00a0Eve succumbs and eats. \u00a0She is instantly remorseful.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

Adam Chooses Eve over God<\/span><\/h3>\n

Eve flees to Adam. \u00a0When he sees Eve\u2019s devastated condition, he immediately recognizes disaster has occurred (I follow Milton and Timothy in asserting that Adam was not deceived). \u00a0Adam is unable to even touch Eve in her fallen condition. \u00a0Adam goes to pray in order that God\u2019s decree of death be lifted against Eve. \u00a0Neither God or the angels respond to Adam\u2019s call. \u00a0But the holy spirit of God within Adam speaks to him. \u00a0It tells him that God would make for Adam yet another mate. \u00a0Adam is crestfallen and refuses such an offer. \u00a0Hechooses to join Eve by eating of the fruit voluntarily. \u00a0After he does, Lilith is joyous with victory. \u00a0She condemns the two, exclaiming that they were both naked and cursed to death. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

God Returns<\/span><\/h3>\n

God returns and finds Adam and Eve hiding at the clearing with the two trees. \u00a0He kills a lamb, strips it of its skins, and hangs it in the tree of knowledge, foreshadowing messiah, so that they might be clothed and stand before him. \u00a0God announces Adam is now married to Eve, and has chosen her over God. \u00a0God also announces to Eve that she will have revenge against Lilith. \u00a0Her seed shall crush Lilith\u2019s seed. \u00a0God forces Lilith to bow to the ground and eat dust. \u00a0She is further transformed at this point into a much uglier creature, more beast than\u00a0human. \u00a0She rages against God to keep his word that Adam and Eve should die that very day. \u00a0But God refuses. \u00a0God departs, setting the tree of knowledge with the hanging lamb on fire. \u00a0God stations two cherubim to with flaming swords to guard the entrance to \u00a0Eden. \u00a0Eve flees as Lilith begins fighting the angels. \u00a0Adam soon departs also. \u00a0One of the angels is grievously wounded and calls upon Michael for help. \u00a0A host of angels appears, and Lilith finally relents. \u00a0She pursues after Adam, and overtakes him in the Euphrates. \u00a0There she begins to drown, beat, and kill him. \u00a0Her hands burn from hitting the lamb skin covering him. \u00a0Eve sees the fight from a distance, prays to God to save her man. \u00a0The slain lamb rises, aflame from the angels\u2019 swords, and enters the waters, dissolving into them. \u00a0Lilith becomes deathly ill. \u00a0Her eyes turn yellow, her stomach bloats, her skin looks as if it rots. \u00a0She leaves Adam and flees from the waters. \u00a0Adam exits, most of his wounds are miraculously healed. \u00a0He lies besides Eve on the banks. \u00a0Neither says a word.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

Death of Adam<\/span><\/h3>\n

Script skips forward many years to Adam\u2019s death. \u00a0There is tent city of \u00a0his family. \u00a0By this point hundreds and thousands in number. \u00a0Adam is cursed with old age. \u00a0But Eve is still as young as at her creation. \u00a0As Adam lies dying on his bed, a disfigured Lilith floats before him, ready to take his soul. \u00a0No one else sees her. \u00a0She is as a ghost. \u00a0Eve cries over the dying Adam that it was all her fault. \u00a0\u00a0Adam responds to Eve, \u201cYou have always been a blessing to me.\u201dAdam dies. \u00a0Eve cries out that she doesn\u2019t want to live. \u00a0Her hair is suddenly grey, her aging has begun. \u00a0In a panic, her sons look to bury Adam by\u00a0Abel, whom Cain slew. \u00a0But they find that Abel\u2019s body is gone. \u00a0When they return, Adam\u2019s body has been taken by Angels into the heavens. \u00a0With him is another man. \u00a0The sons see this and wonder. \u00a0Eve, suddenly grown old and near death in a single night, looks and whispers \u201cAbel\u201d before dying.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\u00a0\"\"<\/td>\n\n

Earth Orbit \u2013 Present Day<\/span><\/h3>\n

The WMAP (Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe) space telescope peers deep into space. \u00a0We follow its transmission down to earth. \u00a0An astronomer receives the information in his office in Rome. \u00a0It is the WMAP picture of the Big Bang creation event. \u00a0The little girl from the opening scene bursts into his office. \u00a0She exclaims to her grandfather how she had earlier witnessed \u201chow the universe was created and everything began\u201d. \u00a0She asks\u00a0what he had done that day. \u00a0\u00a0Holding the WMAP picture, he says, \u201cThe same thing\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n
