{"id":270,"date":"2017-11-12T17:27:43","date_gmt":"2017-11-12T17:27:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/wordpress_bw2\/3-20-the-unique-fused-nature-between-leviathan-and-lucifer\/"},"modified":"2017-12-10T02:55:20","modified_gmt":"2017-12-10T02:55:20","slug":"3-20-the-unique-fused-nature-between-leviathan-and-lucifer","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bitterwaters.com\/bw_12_21_2018\/the-case-for-lilith\/the-biblical-case-for-lilith\/3-20-the-unique-fused-nature-between-leviathan-and-lucifer\/","title":{"rendered":"3.20 The Unique Fused Nature between Leviathan and Lucifer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The literal meaning of the name Leviathan hints at a continual and eternal connection between Lucifer with the Serpent Leviathan.\u00a0 <em>Livyathan<\/em> (<span style=\"font-family: olbhebregular;\">Ntywl<\/span> &#8211; Strongs 3882) means \u201cjoined one.\u201d\u00a0 It comes from the root <em>lavah<\/em> (<span style=\"font-family: olbhebregular;\">hwl<\/span> &#8211; Strongs 3867), which means \u201cto be joined.\u201d\u00a0 <em>Lavah<\/em> is the same root from which Levite is derived.\u00a0 It implies a close connection, as in a blood relative, that cannot be separated.\u00a0 The name of Leviathan suggests a unique joining of Lucifer to the body of the Serpent.\u00a0 This joining is like that of a blood relative.\u00a0 This is all very consistent with the Lilith being the Serpent fathered by Lucifer\u2019s spirit.\u00a0 The unified creature of the Serpent and Lucifer is named Leviathan.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The implications of the literal meaning of the name Leviathan is also touched upon by Rashi.\u00a0 In attempting to explain the passage of Job 3:8, Rashi explains that the literal meaning of the word Leviathan should be understood as indicating a conjugal union between a man and wife.<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a>\u00a0 Thus, he recognizes the fused nature the name implies.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Lilith&#8217;s mystical fused nature with Lucifer is also documented in the Kabbalah\u2019s Zohar.\u00a0 It states Lilith is the \u201cfemale of Samael\u201d, whom is the king of demons and another term for Lucifer.\u00a0 It explains, \u201cSamael is like the soul and Lilith like the body.\u00a0 Deeds are wrought by Lilith with the power of Samael.\u201d\u00a0 Indeed, the Zohar holds that the male and female are strangely fused in the Serpent, in an almost androgynous form.\u00a0 This is perhaps best stated in Zohar I 148a-148b.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Zohar I 148a-148b<\/strong><\/div>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The male is called \u2018Samael\u2019, and his female is always included with him.\u00a0 Just as on the side of holiness there are male and female, so on &#8216;the other side&#8217; there are male and female, included one with the other.\u00a0 The female of Samael is called &#8216;snake,&#8217; &#8216;a wife of harlotry,&#8217; &#8216;the end of all flesh,&#8217; &#8216;the end of days.&#8217; Two evil spirits are attached to one another.
